A fun, energetic, competitive practice for young players to practice their dribbling, shooting and defending
This practice creates a fun, competitive environment for young players, providing realistic, chaotic situations. This develops decision-making, encourages speed, reactions and transitions, and keeps all players active with minimal waiting time.
Mark out an area relative to the age, ability and number of your players. Place 2-4 small goals or cone goals around the outside (dinosaur nests). Place a number of footballs in in the middle (dinosaur eggs). Split players into 2–4 teams, each starting in a corner (dino base).
On the coach’s call, the first player from each team runs to the middle to collect a dinosaur egg (ball). Once they have an egg, they must:
After shooting, they become a Dino Defender and can try to stop other players scoring. The next player from each team goes as soon as the first player touches a ball. The game continues in quick, energetic waves.
